Any damage or breakage present on the first day of the lease, which was not noted down in a detailed and complete inventory, will be considered, under Luxembourg law, as having occurred after the beginning of the lease and therefore this damage will be deducted from your deposit.

In addition, some unscrupulous landlords have been known to play on this fact to renovate their property at your expense!
